Two Wheels on Concrete

Bring an industrial flair to your home with this handmade concrete trivet, featuring a hand-painted bicycle image and a playful splash of color for an interplay of mechanical precision and creative spontaneity. The trivet is sealed with olive-oil eco-sealer so the concrete doesn’t absorb inevitable spills, with rubber feet on the back to protect your furniture and a hook to hang the trivet as a wall-mounted work of art. Handmade by Michael Carpenter and Mona Patel in Clarkston, GA.

Unfortunately, this item cannot ship outside of the United States at this time.

Michael Carpenter and Mona Patel

With a surname like Carpenter, Mike was destined to work with his hands. Mona joined the team and together they make products that are a touch of whimsical, a dash of industrial, and always made with heart. They love working with concrete because it has a raw and industrial feel that communicates an earthy and strong sense of foundation and stability, and also appreciate the versatility of the medium, and the limitless shapes and textures that can be created.

Michael Carpenter is local artist/carpenter who works with multiple mediums, including acrylic/oil paint, concrete, wood, and glass. He is currently pursuing a Master of Industrial Design degree at Georgia Tech. Mona Patel works in the field of public health but has always been a crafter, a painter, and overall creative person. She teams up with Michael Carpenter to create products that are functional and beautiful.

Comments about CONCRETE BIKE WALL TRIVET:

Cute little wall hanging. I haven't used it as a trivet, but seems durable enough to do so.

Comments about CONCRETE BIKE WALL TRIVET:

Exactly what I wanted. Basically, an oversized coaster so I can put one cup on it without worrying it will fall off the ledge - or a cup and a glass simultaneously.
