concrete and stainless steel ringby Sean Yu
- the story
Faceted like a cut gem, this concrete ring is formed around a smooth, comfortable stainless steel band, then hand finished and polished for a remarkably lightweight piece with crisp, precise geometry. Inspired by the urban fabric of his native Taipei, Sean Yu's ring draws on architectural design, executed with handmade craftsmanship and attention to detail. He encourages wearers to contribute to the item's organic life cycle, embracing the patina, chipped edges and hairline cracks that will develop through regular wear. Like modern architecture, the appeal of this ring will continue to grow through the juxtaposition of its cool materials, minimal design, and the unique imperfections that time reveals. Handmade in Taiwan (ROC).
