Sky's the Limit

Like the wispy clouds for which they're named, Corey Silverman and Horace Marlowe's painterly drinking glasses are gently swirled with cloudy strokes of color to give each work a delicate, airy touch. Each vibrant pint glass is gently curved to help the sipper cradle substantial pours effortlessly, and since each set spans a rainbow of different hues, each guest's distinct colored glass can be identified in a flash. Glasses hand-blown in Lakewood, Colorado.

C&H Glassworks is a partnership that was formed in mid 2007. The two partners are Corey Silverman and Horace Marlowe.
Corey Silverman was formally trained as a glass artist while getting his BFA at Alfred University in Alfred, NY. Upon graduating in 1998 he worked with several glass studios around the country before settling in Denver, CO in 1999. His studies with glass have led him to experiment with slumped forms, casting, cold work, solid sculpting and blowing. After much experimentation with glass, he found himself always coming back to the blown form. "I love the immediacy found in making a blown vessel. There's no questioning what it's going to look like. You know the end result as you're putting it away in the annealer. It feels great to have that kind of instant gratification in an art form."
Horace Marlowe is a studio trained glass artist with over decade of experience. He got his start in 1996 making glass sculptures in Orlando, Fl. Since then He's worked in some of the finest glass studios from Florida to Colorado." My love of glass stems back to 1986 where I experienced it for the first time in Colonel Williamsburg. I was amazed at the grace and fluidity of the glass blowers' movements. The heat, the fire, the glow of the glass, I knew then, I was hooked." Now Horace's work can be found is some of the finest galleries all a cross the globe. "My mission is to explore new techniques and discover all the possibilities of glass making."
All glass art produced from C&H Glassworks comes from their glass studio in Lakewood, CO. Corey & Horace employ classic techniques for manipulating and finishing molten glass, yet strive to apply them with light, fluid and contemporary results. Their vessels echo the diversity of the natural world while nevertheless seeking to crystallize ideal forms.
