San Francisco-based artist Vanessa Gade turns the interplay of pendant and chain into a dynamic sculptural statement. Fine chain glides freely through precisely drilled holes of a hand fabricated sterling silver circle creating an abstract pattern that is both fixed and flowing. It was Vanessa's passion for history and photography that initiated her path to jewelry design. While studying to become a historian at the University of California, San Diego she volunteered to help construct the new darkroom on campus, directly adjacent to the metalsmithing studio.
