In Eastern philosophies, the body has seven primary energy centers, called chakras. Thought of as "windows to the soul," each chakra has its own color, and is associated with a particular virtue: stability, balance, energy, compassion, communication, intuition and receiving. Jennifer Utsch had been creating her unique art for years before becoming interested in the chakras and incorporating them into her work. As she did, she began to experience growth in her own spirituality.

These seven chakra flags, made from recycled steel designed with an oxy-acetylene torch and cut with a water jet, are combined with Noah Bells from India. Suspended from a 5-foot long chain, the vibrating sound from the seven chakras combine to rebalance your own chakra energy for the day as you walk beneath them. Handmade in India and California with recycled steel.

Jennifer Utsch

Artist Jennifer Utsch has always been passionate about art and creating. Seeing promise, her high school teacher, urged her to enroll in art school. Like so many, Jennifer never believed there was a future for her in art; so, she veered in the opposite direction. Yearning to escape to the West, she left her home town Virginia, and headed for college in the great Rocky Mountains. She graduated with degrees in Spanish and International Relations. She pursued careers in Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Real Estate. See all creations.
