    Comments about Ceramic Pillow Plate:

On the breakfast bar, sometimes with a pretty green apple to entice the kids to grab it as a healthy snack or with lemons and limes for a fresh clean feeling. Everyone who sees it loves it and comes up with other ideas...jewelry catch-all on a nightstand, with little mementos on a shelf in a baby's nursery, on a sink with soaps or a small stack of paper cups... it will be fantastic however you use it!

I'm not sure what I would put in them but I think its a cute concept.

Really cute for a sleepover of any kind. :)

just dumb. not much else to say. oh wait, it's made in the US, so that's the only thing it has going for it.

      Not my style.

These would also great for holding your jewelry, or even displaying as a conversation piece. It's a really charming design.

      Lacey
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Just doesn't look like you'd be able to put much in the dish. It's a neat idea, but the space for items seem very limited and not really functional.

      Anna
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Eating in a pillow, no matter if it is a plate, is not appealing to me at all. And they are too casual for anything but a child's room.

      Kate
      Vote: Thumbs down!

I was thinking when I clicked that it was a plate that would be nice and comfy to hold on your lap on the couch... ceramic pillows aren't fun.

      katie
      Vote: Thumbs down!

While this items seems really unique and different, to me it just seems really impractical. Whenever I think about buying anything like dishes, I think about storage and where I am going to put something. With how small kitchens can be, a plate that takes up so much room doesn't really make sense.

      Michelle
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Really? I want to eat my food, not put it to sleep....

These are adorable! Perfect for someone who likes quirky home decor. These pillow dishes are exactly the type of item I expect to see of Uncommon Goods. This is what I shop here for!

      Betsy
      Vote: Thumbs down!

They look like they take up a lot of storage space, but have little room for food, and everything would fall to the middle.

      Beth
      Vote: Thumbs up!

Cute idea, but limited uses. Not clear if that is pricing for one plate or for a set. If that is for a single plate, I think the pricing, small size, storage issues and limited uses would turn my vote to thumbs down.

      erin
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I love these! They would fit in perfectly with my glass Ziploc and the porcelain 'paper' bags. I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

      Lana
      Vote: Thumbs up!

Cute, but limited usefulness. Would sell better if they were actually comfortable pillows and held plates of food for eating in front of the TV.

      cathy
      Vote: Thumbs down!

i think storage will be an issue.

      Synthia

I see a mess coming.. There's no way the food will stay in the middle.

      Wendy

They look impractical - too large to store and don't even hold any food.

Sorry but I think these are ugly...

      Kell
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I think they would be good for a guest room or dinner party to hold mints for guests. Or maybe dips for hor d'oeuvres? My be limiting, but cute.

      Becca
      Vote: Thumbs down!

don't seem very practical and difficult to keep clean.

      Anne
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Just seems like more stuff that isn't needed. I like the idea that less is more. Some nice plain white square plates are enough.

      mary
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I like them---they are unusual and interesting ,and the price isreasonable

      jerri

LOVE THESE! would buy them in a heartbeat. totally unique.

      Elizabeth
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Cute idea, but they seem bulky, which can lead to storage issues. The style makes their use limiting.

      Rachel
      Vote: Thumbs down!

It's just another item to collect dust from little use. Also looks like a challenge to find a place to store it.

      Sherry
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Cute but totally useless and would be hard to store.

      Sara

Definitely a 'chic ($$) novelty item with many great possibilities. Wouldn't have one due to storage and novelty and wouldn't give one for same reason! Great idea though!

I love unique plates and platters and I think these would be a really fun way to serve breakfast in bed.

      sarah

The shape is cute but would be hard to store. Also shape doesn't seem to allow much room for the food.

      Jennifer
      Vote: Thumbs down!

These are cute, but expensive and not likely to get much use. Also, storage would be very difficult.

      Georgiann
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Adorable. But I'm a caterer, and while I know these would be fantastic for certain events, they are a little expensive for occasional use.

      MARIANNE

      probably as a novelty

      Celeste
      Vote: Thumbs down!

      Cute but high priced.

      Jennifer
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I'd find a way to display when not in use. What fun, creative pieces and the price isn't outrageous. Being in the design field, I understand the value of great design...it's worth it.

      Alexa
      Vote: Thumbs down!

I'm not sure where I would store something like this... and I really don't see how I would use them that often.

      cynthia
      Vote: Thumbs down!

I would not pay $25 for one of these. I think that is a little pricey for a snack holder.

      Wendy

Very cute - but not practical for storage and cleaning. How would those fit in the dishwasher???

      Jessica
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I at first said thumbs down because I thought, YUCK how do you clean them then I read that they were stoneware then I was like oh that's just cool.

      Susan
      Vote: Thumbs down!

      Too strange and too bulky

      Cassie, UncommonGoods Community Moderator

We're thrilled to see all of this great feedback coming in for these Pillow Plates! These stoneware plates can be used for food, or as catchalls for jewelry, keys and more. They are not the size of actual bed pillows, rather they are 6.5"long x 6" wide x 1" high (please see the "notes" section of this and other Voting App items to see dimensions) and they are dishwasher safe. The estimated price is per plate, as they would be sold individually if accepted into our assortment.

      Erika
      Vote: Thumbs up!

Heck yeah I would buy these! Can you imagine the looks on your guests' faces when they see 'pillows' on the table with food on them?! Neat idea!

      Erin
      Vote: Thumbs down!

It's too shallow to be an effective serving piece of any kind. But more importantly to me...IT IS SO BULKY! Where on earth would I even store something like that?!

      Elizabeth
      Vote: Thumbs down!

No, to me, these are a little weird. Even for a bedridden person, why emphasize their situation? And in general, pillows on the table? That doesn't work for me.

      Tonya
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Eating off a "pillow" doesn't seem appetizing.

      Annie
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Too costly and bulky for a novelty dish. Great gag gift but would most likely go unused and be thought of a What Were They Thinking type of gift.

      connie

what do pillows and food have to do with each other???

      Laurie
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I think these are very cool. Think past the obvious... you could use them in the bedroom to hold potpourri or scented beads... or earrings - anything. Cute!

      Lisa

These just seem too unappetizing and as a decorative element, just a bit strange!

      Cathy
      Vote: Thumbs down!

If it's recommended for kids, it may break easily.

      Michelle
      Vote: Thumbs down!

The low spot is not large enough to really accommodate anything worthy of being a late night nibble. I could be the picture - try putting something on one of the plates so customers can gauge the size better.

      margaret
      Vote: Thumbs down!

there are name brand sleep /posture pillows that have been on the market forever. If price were sliced 50 percent hey may go, check costcos.

      Susan
      Vote: Thumbs down!

      unappealing for food.

      Gail
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Looks like stuff would get caught in 'creases'. Kinda cool, but hard to clean?

      Marilyn
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I like the idea for potpourri or jewelery.

      Colleen
      Vote: Thumbs down!

There is the element of it seeming dirty to have food on a "pillow," but I could also see it as fun too (sleepover snacks?)... My bigger concern is storage and breakage - I assume they are hollow, so not only will they take up a lot of space, but the risk of breaking them seems really high too.

      Kari
      Vote: Thumbs up!

My husband calls me "Sleeping Beauty" because I love my sleep, and I would definitely use these little pillow plates for non-food purposes.

      Gina
      Vote: Thumbs down!

I definately would not market these for use with food. Because as someone else commented, "what do food and pillows have to do with each other?" Also they seem then a bit big for a jewelry dish. However they are pretty neat and would definately be a conversation piece!

      jacqui
      Vote: Thumbs down!

looks like too much to carry, and holds too little food.

      Jill

I think some people who have voted thumbs down, indicating they are too large, or impractical for food are right. If they were indeed the size of a pillow, or actually intended to have a meal eaten off them. I don't think I would be setting a table with pillow plates anytime soon, except a pajama party comes to mind :) but I really like this product. I hope it goes through because I will be one of the first to purchase it for my rings/loose change/or as a place to put my glasses at night. Love it!

      Sharon
      Vote: Thumbs down!

A pillow on my lap with a plate on top--yes. A ceramic pillow--no.

      mindy
      Vote: Thumbs down!

      I don't get it.

      Abigail
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I think these are a great idea. I'd buy a whole set! In response to other comments about holding too little food: frankly Americans eat too much to begin with! This is a perfect way to portion what you snack on! Especially late at night... as eating late at night is discouraged anyway. But they could also be used for other things, too, as people have said--like jewelry or keys or pocket change. I hope you add these to your inventory otherwise I'm gonna find out who else did and buy them there!

      Kristin

These are very unusual! I really thought they were pillows until I read the description.

      janet

They are kind of cute, but they would take up a lot of storage space.

How cute would this be for a slumber party or a lingerie shower!!!

      Paula

The thought of spaghetti stains, or bbq sauce outweigh the convenience.

      Linda
      Vote: Thumbs up!

Love these plates - I would definitely buy them...nice bonus that they are made in the USA!

      KATHLEEN
      Vote: Thumbs up!

It would be nice if they came in multiple sizes.

      Bethany
      Vote: Thumbs down!

They're cute, but don't appear that they would hold much. Especially for the estimated price.

      Becky
      Vote: Thumbs down!

I'm trying to imagine a circumstance under which I would use a plate that resembles a pillow, and I just can't think of one!

      Cassie, UncommonGoods Community Moderator

Hello, Voters! We are so excited to see all of your votes and comments roll in for these Pillow Plates! There's still time to vote and share your feedback, but we just want to clarify a few points. These "pillows" are not made of fabric, they are actual stoneware plates. They are not the size of bed pillows, rather they are 6.5"L x 6"W. Like many stoneware plates, they are 1" tall at the thickest point. Please check out the "Product Story" for additional details. We can't wait to see how you vote on these peculiar plates! We hope they make your dining dreams come true!

Perhaps they look better in person. They look ridiculous in the picture - a total waste of money.

      Krissy

Would be cooler if they were bigger. They would be a great addition to a slumber party or lingerie themed party.

Yeah, I don't think I would ever use it, even though it is unique.

      Yana
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I think the design is actually quite ergonomic; the sloping sides would keep small hor d'oeuvres from sliding around and would be great for dinner parties and events! Perfect for olives or nuts!

      Jackie
      Vote: Thumbs down!

$25 for one is a bit steep. for a set of 3 is better but I can't imagine using them. It doesn't look liek they hold much more than a few olives each

      Shannon
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Small amount of 'functional space' for these and for $25 for something that can hold less than a salad plate - I can buy nice dishes...

      Dawn
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I think these are sure cute, they would be perfect for a slumber party

      Sara

Cute...I guess. But impractical and a bit pricey if they're $25 for just one.

Not sure it would really hold enough to be useful.

      NM
      Vote: Thumbs down!

$25 for one small plate, however cute, is too much. If it were $25 for the set of 3, that might work but there's still the question of just how much these plates hold. If you could include a picture of the plates with food on them, that might give people a better idea of how functional these plates would really be.

I guess you could put a mint on it. The "wrinkles" look difficult to clean.

      Kathleen
      Vote: Thumbs down!

Putting any kind of food or goodies on a ceramic pillow just doesn't make sence to me. I wouldn't be interested at even half the price.

It would be kind of cute on a nightstand though.

Would love these as a set to serve snacks or creative desserts.

      Rose
      Vote: Thumbs up!

I know Pillow Plates sounds good, but these are more like fun candy dishes and labeling them as plates turns buyers off because it's quite clear that one can't serve meals on these.

      Jessica
      Vote: Thumbs up!

So cute! I would have to put mints on these and put them on a bedside table in the guest room!

      Susie

Not sure about these - agree with earlier comments that you should show how much they hold, and perhaps call them candy dishes, because they are so small. Could be a cute bedside table item, but too expensive for just one.

      Pam

Yes... I'd be really interested it that price was for a set...

      denise

not for me, more like candy dishes

      Amy

Different! I like them. They could be used in other creative ways as well, not necessarily just for food.
