A Little Something Special

This precious ceramic box is an artful way to hold tiny treasures. Artist JoAnn Stratakos crafts each detail by hand in her Pennsylvania studio, from the swirling, embossed surfaces to the cheery daisy accent. Inside, a mottled, steel blue glaze provides a secret cache of contrasting color. This little gem can be not only the perfect place for someone to hide away a special ring or favorite pair of earrings, but also an unforgettable and lasting way to box up a thoughtful gift. Handmade in Effort, Pennsylvania.

Much thought and years of experience go into each piece of pottery by JoAnn Stratakos. All pieces are original designs created and produced exclusively by the artist in her studio in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. They are made of stoneware clay, which has splendid serviceability and resists chipping. Each piece is hand-dipped in glazes that JoAnn has formulated. Hand-dipping requires more time than spraying, but gives each piece subtle variations and its unique character. The color and shapes are designed to compliment, not compete, with your decor and the foods being served.
