- the story
The Very Snuggly Caterpillar
Once upon a time, artists Jen List and Stacy Waddington stumbled upon a heap of unwanted sweaters and shirts. Finding their inspiration in the bright colors and soft textures of their retired materials, the pair decided to spin a yarn of their own by transforming the old fabrics into a line of new, snuggly, imaginative children's toys and accessories that encourage individual expression through creative design, wonder, and storytelling.
Warm up with this cute pair of matching caps available for both big and little bugs. A felted pom-pom caterpillar inches across the top of each warm, double-layered cap, snuggling up with you and your sweetie on a chilly day. Each one-of-a-kind hat is made and lined with a rescued cashmere, angora, or merino wool sweater that will warm grown-ups and tot's nippy noggins with an extra-soft touch. Handmade in Flossmoor, Illinois.

Jen List & Stacy Waddington
Jennifer & Stacy met as preschool room mothers, sharing a love of children & artistic expression. With backgrounds in graphic arts & fashion merchandising, they were always looking for ways to share their creativity -- beyond the 4-year old audience -- and before long, seven smooches was born.
Working with little more than a sewing machine & bags of unwanted wool sweaters, the gorgeous tiny cardigans, hats, mittens & kimonos came to be. Upon the discovery of needle felting, cotton blankets were adorned with felty little animals & stars and beautiful handmade wool felt emerged as warm, comfy slippers.
Surrounded by the love & support of their husbands & families, as well as piles & piles of wool, Jen & Stacy hope you can share in some of the magic that has become... collection

Comments about CATERPILLAR HAT:
Perfect for my adult son who loved caterpillars as a child, and who had the chance to spend a few weeks in a university caterpillar research lab, developing a high school biology curriculum. I always find an Uncommon Goods product that suits my uncommon family!
