Vino's Pet

Preserve your vino without putting a stopper in your décor's lovably untamed personality! These pets-turned-wine-stoppers add playfulness to popped bottles as they preserve their precious contents with an airtight seal.

Artist Hadley Sedgwick makes each functional ceramic sculpture by hand, pressing clay into canvas to create each friendly face's spotty pattern and a texture that just begs to be petted. The stopper's rubber cone and stainless steel body are extremely durable and won't corrode from the wine's natural acidity like other materials can. Handmade in Georgia.

Sold individually.

Hadley Sedgwick

A graduate from the Herron School of Art, Hadley Sedgwick currently works in ceramics, bringing sculpture to outdoor and garden settings. Art retailers across the country find demand for her spontaneity, taste and playful expression. Hadley lives on Tybee Island, Ga. with her kiln, husband and two dogs.

"These pieces are me--they are expressions of who I am," Hadley said. "These small animals have my own naivete, innocence and spontaneity. Further beneath the surface, they all bear wounds and scars, permanent lines rendered awkwardly across their faces and bodies. Yet, against this backdrop an inner beauty shines through. Glossy, shimmering, bright colors, and cute, childlike expressions suggest true personal transformation."
