Streamlined Style

The Tarjetero card case is a minimalist marvel: ultra-lightweight and stronger than steel. Designer Charles Friedman came up with the idea for a sailcloth wallet when he was a teenager working as a sail maker in Maine. His grandfather's leather wallet fell apart, and Friedman made a new one from scrap sailcloth. He quickly discovered that the high-tech fabric used for elite sailboat sails was perfect for protecting essentials in your pocket as well. The water-resistant industrial sailcloth is one of the lightest and most durable fabrics in the world and can weather any adventure you have in mind. Designed for those who don't like to be weighed down, the slender and eco-friendly Tarjetero is will last for years on the trail or at sea. Handsewn in Maine.

Charles Friedman

As a teenager Chuck worked building and repairing boat sails in Yarmouth, Maine. When his grandfather's old leather wallet fell apart, he crafted a new one from scrap sailcloth and the first flowfold wallet was born. Over the next six years, Chuck built hundreds of prototype wallets, carefully refining the flowfold design. In 2011 Chuck founded Flowfold as an ecologically conscious company interested in local productivity. Since earning a civil engineering degree from the University of Maine Chuck's been designing products and leading production at Flowfold.
