The Art World

Flit around the globe on gossamer wings with Wendy Gold's whimsical world. Festooned with artful flocks of hand-cut butterflies, each one-of-a-kind piece is made from perfectly weathered, vintage globes.

Traveling near and far to find just-right globes, Gold artfully uses the world as her stage--or rather, her canvas. Using decoupage and paper cutting techniques, she carefully overlays butterflies of all shapes and shades to create a stunning piece of whimsical geography. The result transforms a familiar object into an object of pure imagination. Coated with a protective finish. Handmade in San Francisco.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each globe and stand is one of a kind and will vary.
