Would be interested if I had ideas of other uses for this item. Maybe it should be marketed differently and a list of uses, including baking brie, were presented.

Vote: Thumbs up!
great item with a great price, can't wait to order it.
Suzanne
Vote: Thumbs down!
I agree with jen - too much of a "single-tasker." Unless you eat A LOT of brie, I can't imagine why you would need a dedicated vessel for it! Otherwise nice and all, but can it do anything else?
Rachel
Vote: Thumbs down!
I can think of multi-uses, but the price is too high. I feel pretty certain I could find a similar item in Chinatown or elsewhere. If it were cheaper, I would be a thumbs up. (and maybe photoshop the tops of the strawberries)

1984 anyone?
Deborah
Vote: Thumbs down!
Great price point but you don't need a special dish to melt brie...it would just be another thing that gets lost next to the wok and deep fryer.
Tessa
Vote: Thumbs down!
So many other things could ber used to bake brie. Wasted expense.
Virginia
Vote: Thumbs up!
Good idea, reasonable price

Brie also melts in a soup crock! Gasp! This is for people who have too much cabinet space, not me!

I don't care for brie, so I would just glance right over this. It's not particularly special-looking, either. What else can it do? Warm up soup? I've got enough bowls for that, I guess.
Tara

SO much yes! I want it now!
Diana
Vote: Thumbs down!
not different enough
MELISSA
Vote: Thumbs up!
i'm not one for one-use items, but i can think of multiple uses for this vessel, especially (and largely b/c) it can go in the oven. and not just for warming, actually for baking (aka up to 500 degrees). that plus the fact that it comes w/ lid
Anne
Vote: Thumbs down!
not uncommon enough

Uncommon goods is not Crate and Barrel, or it shouldn't be.

Frequently prepare baked brie - nice to have with lid.

brie? really.... i don't even know what that is, so how often must people eat it....
Megan
Vote: Thumbs down!
With limited kitchen space, I need items that multi task.
Luann
Vote: Thumbs down!
Cabinets are high value real estate...don't want to clutter them with something that can only be used for one thing....and not often at that!

Vote: Thumbs up!
OH, yesh. One more piece of really cool cookware I always want, but seldom use. Yet, at $20, I would so buy this.
Kirsten
Vote: Thumbs up!
Even though it's a one-task item, it's reasonably priced. Baked Brie en croute = heaven!
Bonnie
Vote: Thumbs up!
Useful if you like brie.
Trudy

Novel idea- I've not seen this before and the price is very reasonale.

can find similar product at discount stores... TJ Maxx, Marshalls.
Kirsten

Marketed only to people who eat brie - needs more applications
Kara
Vote: Thumbs down!
Maybe if it came with a recipe book or list of suggested uses. Not just use with sweet recipes - how?
Mitzi
Vote: Thumbs up!
Nice idea and price is nice too. Would buy
Tina Marie

sure we could use this for something other than brie. if it's ceramic and heat-resistant, maybe it should've been marketed a little differently to draw in more customers.
Darcy
Vote: Thumbs up!
I like the idea and it looks like you could certainly use it for other ideas.
Amanda

It is cute. So, essentially, it is a little ceramic crock? I already have one, and I use it a lot, and I can use it for more than just baking brie. And I got it at Homegoods for about $5.

Not unique enough for your catalog. You can get something like this in any store that carries bakeware.

I want my brie uncovered in the oven to let moisture evaporate and intensify the flavors. One more speciality kitchen item to clog up the cupboard.
Beth
Vote: Thumbs down!
Doesn't seem "uncommon" enough...
Jody
Vote: Thumbs up!
Just like your serving dishes or good crystal don't get everyday use, this is perfect for an appetizer or dessert. Yes, there is a market for unitaskers, we're not all Alton Brown.
Lynne
Vote: Thumbs up!
like the fact that it's pretty to serve from - does it come with the knife?
Gina
Vote: Thumbs up!
Cool item, great price. Would be a very reasonably priced gift idea. Love it, please offer more unique items and good prices.
Janet
Vote: Thumbs down!
I don;t have room to store a single task item like this and you can't bake puff pastry in a closed pot it would just be mushy
Andrea
Vote: Thumbs down!
I would not use this item, I already have baking ramekins, so this would be an unnecessary buy. Good price though!
Melissa
Vote: Thumbs up!
I can definitely think of other uses for this vessel. Mini cakes? Oh yeah! It goes in the oven, so there are many things you can do with it.
Bethany
Vote: Thumbs down!
I would have to bake a heckuva lot of brie to justify having a piece SOLEY for that purpose!
Kathryn
Vote: Thumbs up!
Great idea - especially if you could get it in various colors.
Emma

Elisa
Vote: Thumbs down!
this type of vessel has been offered in some higher end cooking catalogs recently, but for more $. the price is great, but you can heat brie in plenty of containers you already have!!
Irene
This is another case of "want", not "need". We already have our kitchen cabinets stuffed with so many kinds of dishes, we don't really need another one with such limited use to take up valueable space in the cupboard. I vote no on this one.
Daniel
Vote: Thumbs down!
If I never have baked Brie again, that's fine with me. Who needs another single use item? Any baking dish can do this. Not up to the standards of your catalogue.

The idea is great, just needs a companion piece so they could be used for the same party or dinner-each at one end of the table. This could be used for many various purposes, but the price point is too high. Perhaps making the dish more stylish??
Lisa
Vote: Thumbs down!
Who really needs a separate dish just for brie?
Wendy
Vote: Thumbs down!
Just for brie? Why not other foods, as already suggested? Besides, I already have a small, covered casserole that would do just as well. Not that I eat brie everyday.

Seems easy enough to bake brie an a dish you've already got... Seems silly to buy a new dish simply to bake brie in.

This is, again, almost double what one would expect to pay, but other than that it is a very nice little pot sized perfectly to hold just what it says it is for: a dear little brie with a yummy pastry wrap, or whatever.
Kayla
Vote: Thumbs up!
Good gift idea. I wouldn't purchase is myself or for someone who already eats a lot of good cheese. Perhaps something needs to make it more unusual? Can't say but seems like a good price for a gift when you don't know what to buy someone...
Heather
Vote: Thumbs up!
THAT PICTURE LOOKS DELICIOUS AND MAKES ME WANT ONE. aT THAT PRICE, i'D BUY IT TOO!
Andrea Gray
Vote: Thumbs down!
Admittedly, I'm not a cheese baker, so I don't see the point of spending $20 on a steam pot for a cheese wheel. Put the thing on a paper plate in the microwave and call it a day.

Jenny
Vote: Thumbs down!
I'm back and forth on this. A small dish with a lid that can go in the oven is always useful, but it's listed as being specifically for brie. That makes it fairly useless to a lot of people who might not see the multi-uses, and I mainly use Uncommon Goods to purchase gift items.
Debbie
Vote: Thumbs down!
really? Only for the person who eats Brie everyday!
Sharon

Not so uncommon and any dish would do for baking brie.

Mary
Vote: Thumbs down!
Even fondue pots had more uses than melting cheese....
Julia
Hi everyone, this is Julia from UncommonGoods. Great feedback so far. I'd love to hear what uses ya'll might have for a ramekin like this -- other than baked brie. Any good recipes?
Beth
Vote: Thumbs up!
Not sure if I changed my vote or voted once each way, but I'm a bit undecided about this. I have a baked gouda recipe and can see using this for dips, nuts, candy or fruit. It's not the typical kind fo item for Uncommon Goods, but we've seen plenty of glasses and other kitchen items. If you carry this baker, I think it would be wise to show alternate uses.
Alicia
