Lighten Up!

Indulge in some sweet, sweet humor with these hilarious bathroom scales meant to make that "moment of truth" not quite so dreadful. Choose from the slightly wicked "Bittersweet" (Go ahead, indulge yourself. You deserve it) to the sassy "Ignorance is Bliss" (The numbers never lie. That's why we got rid of them.)

Both scales are divided into five-pound increments, but instead of numbers "Bittersweet" features positive affirmations such as "Simply Ravishing" and "I'm a perfect ten," while "Ignorance is Bliss" does away with numbers altogether. Art by Wendy Gold. Scales made in China, printed in California.

Wendy Gold

Wendy Gold is an artist inspired by unique and unusual canvases. She first gained notoriety when she began decoupaging one-of-a-kind toilet seats and bathroom scales. Her work was instantly recognized for its originality and she quickly garnered a clientele including many A-list celebrities, along with a who's who of retailers, restaurants, hotels, interior designers, and home decor enthusiasts.

Always looking for new inspiration, she stumbled across a beautiful antique globe at a flea market and immediately recognized her next canvas. In early 2010, she launched ImagineNations™ and brought her unique brand of design to the canvas of world globes. By using recycled materials and vintage globes, she creates beautiful works of art, and brings a new touch of earthly responsibility to her work.

Wendy has built upon her ImagineNations™ brand by offering a line of recycled, hand-signed and numbered lithographs featuring her designs interplaying with vintage world maps.

Wendy has been featured on CNN, NPR, Newsweek, USA Today, InStyle, Travel+Leisure, and hundreds of other local, national and international media outlets. She has also appeared on the TV show, "I've Got a Secret." When not in her Bay Area studio, Wendy enjoys doing art projects with her daughter, scouring local flea markets, drinking green smoothies, kick boxing, and putting her artistic touch to good use at home and wherever she goes. collection
