Using a hammer, vise, anvil, and oxy-acetylene torch, they fold, forge, and anneal copper transforming it into a three-dimensional interpretation of a sweet wren perched in its nest. Propped on an extra tall garden stake, this swoon-worthy bird will be easy to spot as it peeks over your yard or garden, greeting visitors with its enchanting, hand-crafted character. Handmade in North Carolina.

Catherine Murphy
Growing up in a military family, Catherine Murphy spent her childhood traveling around the world and experiencing every locale's characteristic outdoor sites. Eventually, she settled in North Carolina and started a career working with metal and helping to create impressive high-rise construction projects, but Catherine never lost her fascination with the natural world and she longed to fuse her passion for nature with her talent for metalworking.
