Influenced by her husband, children, and by rehabbing and decorating their Victorian home, Kate Lewis creates warm, inviting, energizing and peaceful paintings. Life at home is at the center of her work. Kate’s translucent layers of paint form large, intimate interior scapes and small still lifes that radiate effortless charm and a free spirit. Known for her thoughtfully choreographed and colorful interiors, her paintings are windows into another world. Using acrylic and watercolor gives Kate the freedom to use water generously in her work and create delicate layers.
