Polish-born jeweler Ashka Dymel lets her background in geometry, modular design, and architecture inform the aesthetic of her uniquely painterly jewelry. In all of her elegant pieces, translucent, semi-precious gems are arranged carefully like still pools of paint on an artist's palette. Like a proper painting, she frames each tender artwork in swirled, coiled, or boxed strips of sterling silver, giving each piece structure and a refined appearance.

These handmade, mini spiral earrings nestle droplets of topaz, iolite, kyanite, tanzanite, and amethyst in a darkening coils of sterling silver. Ashka Dymel

Ashka Dymel was born in Warsaw, Poland. She moved to the United States and earned a degree in environmental design from Parsons School of Design. Her architectural background is clearly visible in the geometric forms, volumes, and solids of her jewelry.
