2012 marks the 30th anniversary of the New York chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the nation's premier professional design organization. To celebrate, this long-standing force behind the Big Apple's design scene asked 30 design luminaries to capture their experience with AIGA/NY in the form of a limited edition poster.

Debbie Millman created one of her signature paintings that features a sherbet-colored cloud made up of the colored-penciled names of AIGA/NY board members interspersed with the declaration "we the people" referring to the democratic union of designers. Milllman is a past President of the AIGA, a contributing editor at Print Magazine, a design writer at FastCompany.com and BrandNew.com, and Chair of the Masters in Branding Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In 2005, she began hosting the first weekly radio talk show about design on the Internet. The show is titled "Design Matters with Debbie Millman" and it is now featured on DesignObserver.com.
