How do some of New York City's biggest graphic designers say "happy birthday?" Why, with an oversized card, of course!
2012 marks the 30th anniversary of the New York chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the nation's premier professional design organization. To celebrate, this long-standing force behind the Big Apple's design scene asked 30 design luminaries to capture their experience with AIGA/NY in the form of a limited edition poster.
This signage-influenced design was created by BASE, a firm who, in their own words, "specializes in not specializing." "Our concept for the poster can be summed up in one word: Posterity. (Which means "all future generations.") For us, the AIGA is all about posterity! Long live AIGA!"
