I became fascinated with the crystalline realm at a very young age. My childhood fascination was the "vein" of crystals in the forest near my home in Pennsylvania's Pocono mountains. I knew I wanted to spend my life working with these amazing models of perfection created by nature. When I was 18 I started my career as a jewelry designer and craftsman, and my focus has consistently been on going where no one else has gone, pushing the limits and allowing my creativity to take the wheel. When I bought a bag of tumbled stone chips and found one to be shaped just like a guitar pick, the wheels in my head started turning, I knew I was on to something. But the polished rounded edge slid of the guitar strings in an awkward way, there was no precision control. So I took it to the grinding wheel and after experimenting with various different materials and designs, I eventually honed in on my hallmark design, a carefully shaped pick with just the right contour that allows for precision picking.
