Serve artisanal cheeses on an aged surface that is as pleasing to the eye as your choice wedges, slices, and spreadables are to the palate. Formed when silica-laden groundwater passes through air pockets in cooling lava, gorgeous agate is an exceptionally unique and beautiful material that has prompted centuries of cultural intrigue. The ancient Babylonians, Egyptians, and Greeks all held the belief that agate possessed the power to protect its owners from evil and danger, and that it also produced delightful dreams. Like the eruption responsible for eventual formation, each of these organic oval-shaped plates contains spectacular bursts of color and microcosmic mineral explosions for stunning service.

Agate hand-polished by artisans in Brazil. Assembled by Anna Rabinowicz and her team in Long Island, New York.

Anna Rabinowicz
Anna Rabinowicz was born in London in 1971, and was raised mainly in the United States. She studied Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, and holds an MFA in Design and a MS in Engineering from the Product Design Program of Stanford University.
