Happy Birth-neigh

Chinese lore holds that babies born during the Year of the Horse (January 31, 2014-February 18, 2015) will be energetic, intelligent, strong, friendly, and loved by many. Mark the development of each of these traits in your special little foal with this Year of the Horse keepsake box. Designed by Kerri Lee, this felt-lined, wooden box comes complete with a special image of an adorable baby horse and a tiny envelope for holding a lock of hair, with space to write your baby's name and birth date. The box is the perfect place to keep the baby's first pair of booties, a favorite toy, or pictures from their first year. Handmade in New York.

Kerri Lee

With a background in engineering and a love for things vintage and unique, designer Kerri Lee-Sensiba has created a distinctive, original line of gifts and décor for babies and children. Kerri started designing home accessories at her kitchen table, often working late at night making wares and then selling them at local craft fairs. She began exhibiting at trade shows and her products quickly caught the attention of national press and buyers from well-known stores. Now, Tree by Kerri Lee's line of products is made by a team of artisans in a studio housed in a century-old general store building, in a small New York town along the Delaware River. The company name “Tree” is a nod to the responsibly harvested wood from which many of the products are made, including music boxes, keepsake boxes, clocks, and nursery accessories.

Kerri Lee's creations have been featured in Child, Parents, Parenting, InStyle, Country Living and The New York Times Magazine. collection
