Bring Honor to your Baby

Chinese lore holds that babies born during the Year of the Snake (February 10th 2013–January 30th 2014) will be deep thinkers, great communicators, impressive innovators, and loyal friends. Mark the development of each of these traits in your special little snake with this Year of the Snake keepsake shadowbox. Inspired by the dioramas she assembled as a child, Kerri created these adorable boxes to hold a child's first-year mementos, such as their favorite toy, shoes, or first-year photographs. The felt-lined, painted basswood box can be propped open with the help of a discreet wooden peg, so its pop-out images of an adorable snake and the little one's treasured keepsakes can be displayed at whim. Handmade in New York.

Exclusively at UncommonGoods.
