Fierce Love

Chinese lore holds that babies born during the Year of the Dragon (January 23, 2012 through February 9, 2013) will be healthy, honest, brave, sensitive, and energetic. Mark the development of each of these traits in your little dragon with Kerri Lee-Sensiba's Year of the Dragon keepsake shadowbox. Inspired by the dioramas she assembled as a child, Kerri created these adorable boxes to hold a child's first-year mementos such as their favorite toy, shoes or pictures. The felt-lined, painted basswood boxes feature and can be propped open with the help of a discreet wooden peg, so its pop-out images of a friendly dragon and the little one's treasured keepsakes can be displayed at a whim. Handmade in New York.

Exclusively at UncommonGoods.
