Spanish: The Spanish language set includes 28 blocks. Features 4 complete alphabets, 3 sets of numerals, and 28 different animal pictures.
Chinese: This beginner Chinese set has 32 character blocks. Each block has the character alone and with its English equivalent, a stroke grid to learn how to create the character, and a number and a picture with its pin yin equivalent. There is also a puzzle side for this set... a map of China, the Chinese flag and a yellow dragon (responsible for bringing the seeds of writing to the Chinese people).

My daughter, a teacher, was very impressed with the quality of the blocks - they feel very "solid" and the edges/corners are all smooth/rounded. Of course her first question was "was non-toxic paint used?" and we were able to confirm this on the web site. As an old "China hand" I was happy to give the Chinese character blocks to my grandson. I bought these blocks as a gift for a friend raising her child in a bilingual house. The blocks were larger and heavier than I expected, which I liked. Have a distinct "wood" smell like toys of old. Colors are bright and the letters, words and pictures easily visible. Contain distinct letters of the traditional Spanish alphabet like "rr," "ñ" and "ch." Numbers are written numerically and as words, and picture blocks also provide the written spelling below the image. I have not opened the packaging, but blocks seem to be sturdily-made. Perhaps a bit more expensive than I would have liked, but it's worth it for the craftsmanship.
