Registered for this item for our baby's nursery, only I didn't realize at the time that it was made of cardboard (I failed to read the description well and just liked the way it looked). At first I was disappointed, until I realized it was a great opportunity to paint it to coordinate with the colors we'd used in the baby's room. Had shower guests, family, and friends write out wishes, prayers, quotes, etc. to fill it. Great product!

This product would be awesome if it were a little smaller. Check the size specs before you buy to make sure it will really be something that the recipient can treasure. I'm only 5'2" and it's pretty unwieldy for me to carry around! I had to bring this to 2 different parties to get enough quotes for the birthday recipient. Another caveat was that the recipient didn't know how the heck to put it up! It's all cardboard and you don't want to nail right through it since it'll fall apart in the long run. He's trying to figure out a way to put it up now.. maybe industrial strength velcro? I'm sure the landlord wouldn't approve.. otherwise, great product.

I bought this for my husband's milestone birthday. I filled it with "you know you are old when..." comments solicited from friends and family. Great gift, but the only color was from the papers rolled up inside. The frame is made from dull cardboard. Perhaps a different material would make it pop (and earn another rating star)! I plan on painting the frame so it can be presented as wall art in my home. Overall, liked it, but wish it was less $$.

I have given many as gifts and bought one for myself at Christmas. I gave one to a niece of mine who was challenged in communication with Mom & Dad and now they use it to deal with the more difficult subjects...13 years old. I also sent one to my sister-in-law after the death of her parents. We are going to use it in June for family and friends to write their memories of Mom & Dad at the Memorial Service. I use mine as a liberation point...I just write what I hope for and feel relived. It's the best.

I was not happy with the way the item looks. The cardboard is very rough looking along the edges. It did not look like the product was featured in the photos online (cream-colored). It did not look acceptable to use at a party (unless it was altered with paint or other modification). I do not believe it is a good value for the price. I still like the creative idea, but I think it was poorly created and inaccurately advertised.

The first one I bought for my friend's son for Christmas. The second was for a friend's wedding. She used is instead of a sign in book at the reception. Then I purchased one for the office. Our Customer Expereince department uses it for inspiration. So if someone is needing a little cheering up or motivation they go take a slip of paper. The messages might be a quote, song lyric or a co-worker offering to buy a cup of coffee. We have really loved it.

I plan on using this for my grandmother's 80th birthday bash. I love the simplicity in it's meaning. The grands and great-grands can decorate it for her. And once everything is said and done, and everyone's gone back to their parts of the country, Gammie will be able to sit and relive fond memories and good wishes.

I'm also able to let those that can't make it still participate in the epic family event. I've sent off several pieces of paper to those that can't attend so that they can still be a part of the celebration, if only slightly more than, "in spirit"

The fully recyclable aspect is a huge bonus for me too. Years and years down the road, it won't be pushed away in someone's attic for a great-grandchild to mull over tossing in a landfill. No guilt in any sense!

This is a great idea but it's missing something. I love all things natural and recycled but feel this would be much better if it was reclaimed wood instead of cardboard. I would still recommend it, but it is cardboard so keep that in mind. Also I found the papers to write the note on tacky and made my own pieces to suit my needs better.

I love it! It is so unique and can be used for so many things. I am using it for my prayers. I write a prayer on one of the colored papers included and add it to the wall frame. I have also asked others in my family to add any prayers when they would like. When the wall frame is full and in about a year or so I will look at all the prayers and praise God for all the ones he has answered and see that maybe some prayers I had asked for were better unanswered. It is like a prayer journal on my wall. It is so cute, and I love the fact that all the materials were recycled. This could be used for so many other great things! Great idea for parties, have your friends add to the wall too!
