This easy-to-use, modern salad spinner makes preparation and serving a snap. Simply place ingredients in the black plastic bowl, replace the lid and pull the string. The powerful mechanism feels much like the pull string on a toy dummy and will retract smoothly and easily (not to mention, it's fun to pull!). The black bowl spins quickly inside the white porcelain serving bowl, fully drying the ingredients. When done spinning, remove the lid, dump the contents from the black bowl into the white bowl, and voila! Salad is served. The bowl made in Germany and cover made in China.

I use my salad spinners alot and was tired of the plastic ones that break after a year of use. This one seems nice and sturdy and I hope to use it for many years. Plus it looks great on the table too. There are probably other spinners that have a faster mechanism and gets the lettuce dryer, but it works fine for me.

Unlike most salad spinners/dryers, this one is attractive and useful from prep to table and the bowl is dishwasher safe (your standard plastic one is NOT dishwasher safe and melts...)[...]-- recycled/recyclable!
