I love the "Artifacts" section in the back of each book that talks about each piece and artist. I plan to use these when we begin homeschooling our daughter.

Love, love, love these books. They are fun and quirky. We put the children to bed with classical music so it makes sense to teach them about the other classics. Our children select these books and love touching the objects as requested in the picture tales. Novel idea for children or adults.

To get 4 board books at the book store, you would pay close to the same amount, but these have tactile famous works of art to introduce my kids to classics in a fun way. I love them and am happy to know that my kids will have experience with high art before they even realize what high art is.
So far, only one textural item (the "top" from Andy Warhol's soup can) has been torn off and that one seemed easy to rip off to begin with. All other textures feel securely in place or are not made of rippable material.
