Like others have said, the product is not nearly as dark as the picture shows - more like a dark blue / slate gray. The calligraphy is not nearly as clear as the picture shows. Still, this is a very clever and unique gift!

The sake set is realy nice, and the stickers on the bottom show that it realy comes from Japan! As others have mentioned, it is not black as it apears in the picture- but a silver/blue color that is really cool. \nBeleive the people that say the bottle is small! I havn't measured the capasity, but is must be only 16-20 oz (or max 0.5L).\nFor me the only problem is that is doesn't have a top for the bottle- and that cool color makes finding one for the bottle difficult at best. For now I'm just using a cork.\nDoes anyone know what the symbols say? I'd be interested to know.

By the picture the big vase looks black. When I opened the package it looked more blue then black. Otherwise satisfied with it.

Sturdy construction. Neat gift for fans of sake/sushi/japan.The finish is not black. It is a dark metallic grey. The calligraphy is not as clear as it appears in the picture.The set is quite small, as sake sets generally are. Just be aware.I think the product is a good value for [$], but it is not as nice as I was expecting it to be.
