I'd wanted this board for a year and kept "not getting" it because it seemed like such an indulgence. I was so excited to open and use it, that when I did open the box and it was not like the one pictured, I had to stick the box under a chair for two weeks before sending it back - I was too distressed! It was made of more than one color stone - on one of the edges it went from salmon-colord to pure white (like quartz) and it was very unattractive - one of those pieces where the imperfection defines the object. I've since returned it. I think the quality control is not in place on this product.
