I love this ring. The construction is solid with the perfect weight. It feels substantial without being too bulky or uncomfortable. I work at an active job where I am indoors and out and working with kids and with my hands. This ring has been very comfortable.

my compass ring developed a large air bubble, which prevented the compass plate from spinning, rendering it unusable.

A Bit Disappointed

While this ring is unique and whimsical, I was disappointed because in real life, the compass is much smaller than I had envisioned it after seeing it online. In fact, it's so small that it's difficult to tell that it's a compass at all until you're super close to it. Additionally, it doesn't work very well. The picture online made this item appear much more striking than it really is. Perhaps it would help if the dimensions of the compass were included in the description.

I have always loved compasses since I was a Brownie Scout so I have many, but this one is the most fun. I only worry about it's ability to withstand water or a bump. The description didn't mention, so I am careful.

I was looking forward to getting this ring. I thought it would be nice and practical on day trips however, the compass didn't really work! I'd say, it would point north correctly 50% of the time, which obviously isn't very useful. Either mine is defective or the magnet is really sensitive. I may end up returning this. :( I hate doing this especially when it's something I really wanted.
