As a keychain, I would have hoped it would have held up better to being thrown in a purse, bumping up against a steering column, etc. It broke withing a week of using it. Disappointed with mechanism to attach actual "molecule" to the key ring.

This was a retirement gift for a former employer who was a chemist. This was a neat and unusual gift. I would not use it as an everyday keychain, as it may not be that heavy duty, but it is a quirky gift for the scientist!

I ordered the seratonin molecular keychain for my college biology teacher. I couldn't believe it when I saw it on your site. It is about the most perfect gift I could have got for him. And he loves it! The great thing about Uncommon Goods is that you can find odd, obscure and unique gifts for yourself and others that really get people talking. Its so easy to find things that relate to everyday proffesions like nursing and firefighting and such, but you had a keychain that was absolutely perfect for someone who loves biology. I'm very impressed!

Service & Delivery comments:

I live overseas, at an army base. Everything I've ever ordered from Uncommon Goods has been delivered in under a week. That is unheard of. When I order things from the states, it usually takes over a month to recieve. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the delivery.

I am a science geek and so is one of my best friends who is getting her PhD in forensic psychology. She absolutely loves this. It was such a great gift that it was hard to keep it a secret. As soon as she opened it her eyes lit up and she walked around to show everyone. The only con is that the key ring is black. Personally, I think it would look better if the whole thing is silver. This is a great gift!

It broke as soon as it came out of the box. Very flimsy for a keychain. It should have some weight and strength to support daily use.\nMy gift recipient wouldn't let me send it back because he liked it too much. It's hanging in his office...with no keys on it.

This is rather expensive for a keychain, so I would have expected something of better quality. Within a couple of months of normal use (in purse, in ignition, and back), the small ring that attaches the molecule had broken. The seams from the mold is was made from are very visible. [...] I wish I had not purchased it in the first place.
