Uncommon Knowledge: Each year, roughly 300 tons of glass bottles are donated by wineries and recycling organizations across the country to be turned into glasses like these. And because they are made from prefab bottles that don't need to be crushed or melted, the glasses use less energy to create than normal glassware.

These glasses are very nice. I find I reach for them first. They feel good, are very pretty, and are as sturdy as you'd think they'd be, being made from wine bottles after all. I will probably order more wine-bottle glasses soon.

We loved the 'protect our earth' glasses so much we bought the 'protect our water' set. Less than a year later and the etching is almost completely gone. Now they're just green and blue glasses.

We received a set of four glasses as a Christmas gift. We felt the size LOOKED small but in reality, it holds a full glass of liquids. We wanted more and ordered them last week.
