Cultivation is easy - seeds are already sown into eggling's fortified peat mixture, just crack its top, water, and place in sunny spot. Plants grow for up to five months in the eggling, after which it can be planted directly in soil. Made of porous shell-like ceramic, the eggling comes with extra seeds and a terra-cotta tray. I sent this as a Mother's Day gift and my mom loved it! It was a nice change from the typical cut flowers, and she enjoyed "planting" it with her grandson. I'd buy again!

I gave this to my mother last year for Mother's Day, I think. She loved it at first and the idea was amazing. She finally set it up in her bedroom with all the right circumstances for the flowers to grow, but they never did. The stems started to grow but drooped after a while and just died....
