Celebrating a time when pools were made of secretaries and the smell of correction fluid was in the air, the Qwerty pen personalizes the art of writing with letter keys from vintage typewriters. A comfortable black rubberized barrel is capped with an authentic key from Remington, Underwood, Smith Corona or Royal typewriters, making this pen an uncommon gift for collectors and writers. Imported. Created by designer Ward Wallau. Handmade in the USA and Mexico.

When I ordered this pen for a gift for my work partner, the on-line picture of the pen made it look like an average sized pen, but upon receiving it, I noted that it's diameter was larger than any pen I had ever seen or used. It's way too big around to be comfortable for any kind of extended writing, or more than just jotting down a few notes. It also looks a little bulky in a shirt pocket or suit pocket. The typewriter key on the top is very unique and very cute, but the rest of the pen is impractical. I would not recommend this product for anyone other than perhaps for the person who has everything and would like to display it on their desk. It's not a practical writing instument.

The typewriter key gives this pen personalization and a bit of recycling chic. The pen itself is a bit thick, so if you like a thinner pen this one might not be for you. But it's comfortable and writes smoothly. The metal clip and nib were a bit tarnished, but rubbing in a spot of toothpaste took care of that.

This is a great gift--the antique typewriter key makes it unique. The pen works well but the barrel is a bit thick and ungainly. The pen itself would look more Art Deco and match the key better if it were thinner, sleeker, possibly ribbed. Still, I'm quite happy with the product and I'd recommend purchase.
