I gave this gift and the cheese high heel as a bridal shower gift. It was probably one of the more unique gifts... I can't bare myself to buy a regular pot and pan as a gift so I gave these. She looked excited but I wonder how much use they will be...how often do you have cake? I like cheese so I think that one would be more useful now that I think about it.

I bought one for myself and one as a gift for my mom. She adores hers, but I don't find mine as wonderful. The pros are that it is a super-fun design, looks great and is a big conversation piece at parties when used for entertaining. However, I didn't realize when I bought it that the heel is magnetically attached (comes off when you try to use it). I don't get why they do that--one more piece to lose, and makes for awkward holding. I expected I could hold the smooth heel while cutting. Instead, you hold the end of the sole, which is wide with hard edges--not comfortable! So, this gets an A for appearance, about a C for comfort, and a big ??? for the design decision to make the heel come off.
