The only thing was that the chain seemed pretty short. My mother is a contractor and loved this gift. She is slim/petite and still found the chain to be too short. She cannot comfortably wear it over a turtle neck for example. We will get an extender or have our jeweler put on a longer chain. Overall, it was a great gift and was excellent quality.

I bought this as a birthday gift for a female friend who works as a maintenance person. She is very handy and carries a toolbelt wherever she goes. She had previously waxed lyrical about a normal spirit level that I'd bought her, so I thought that this was fun, and so did she. It sits nicely between the collar bones, but she is delicately boned. For larger boned people, or people with thicker necks, it may not work. The necklace is also definitely more feminine. I adore it though.

When I opened the package my 4 year old daughter said "that is beautiful!" The green level will catch any one's eye.

The length is perfect at 16" because it doesn't hide behind my shirt like most neclaces try to. The chain is a good weight. I wear it nearly everyday. It is a great conversation piece on so many different levels (yes, pun intended).

I was almost killed in an accident a year ago. My sister gave me this as I have recovered--to remind me to keep my life in balance I wear it every day (sometimes under the blouse/sweater if another necklace goes better with it). I'd like the option of a longer chain but this fits nicely just below my neck bones

Love the idea of this necklace, however the chain is a bit too short for my taste. Because of this, when wearing the level, it is not consistently in a 'level-position'. Also, I must wear it with scoop neck sweaters due to the chain length. Would have loved the necklace had the chain been 1.5' to 2" longer.

This was a gift from my gf on Christmas and she knew I loved it the very first day I saw it. Every time I feel life is taking the best of me, I look at myself in the mirror and remind myself that Life is all about balancing out everything. THANK U LEEANN and uncommongoods! AND.. i gave my husband a level necklace years ago that i ordered from Isabella; i might return there now actually. the necklace he originally received had a much large level. we added a longer chain after, and he wore it constantly. the level leaked over time, and i wanted to replace it. yours is acceptable, but not as advertised, and not as large as the one he originally had. still deciding whether to keep or return because of this discrepancy.
