These innovative soapstone cubes were designed by Andrew Hellman, a big fan of single malt scotch, who wanted to chill his spirits without diluting them. After much research, he came up with the idea of using natural soapstone to chill drinks due to its softness (won't scratch the glass) and its unique ability to retain temperature for extended periods of time. Milled in Perkinsville, Vermont by the oldest soapstone workshop in the United States.
Simply chill the stones. Add three to your next drink, let stand for five minutes and enjoy. Sold as a set of nine.

We all know the best way to order a good scotch or bourbon is up, but sometimes you want it on the rocks. Preferably, one large chunk of ice that is going to melt slowly, as to not muddle the flavors or leave you with a diluted mess. Something that is going to chill it, but not ruin its complexity. This is a great gift! I bought these for my husband and he was impressed! He is the occasional whiskey drinker and thought these stones were a brilliant idea! I liked that they have a bit of history, coming from the oldest soapstone mill in the US. The only downside is that the instructions say 3 in each glass, giving me only 3 glasses worth. I wish they came with 12 so I could have an even set of 4.
