These earrings are one of a kind. They are a little larger and longer than I expected, but are not too heavy considering their size. For those who aren't used to dangling earrings they may be too much. They are beautiful however!

These earrings look very low end, as though from a dollar store. (My husband laughed when I showed them to him and told him their price.) I ordered them as an unusual gift for my sister, but I would be embarrassed to give them to anyone. The "willow" design is applied like a decal on top of the chunk of white material. The design on my pair does not have a Chinese-y look like the earrings shown online; it is just an incoherent fragment of pattern. The earrings come on a printed card that refers to the maker's products as made from "bottles reclaimed from bottle dumps," a description both unappealing and puzzling since these earrings are described in the online catalogue as "reclaimed pottery" and "china . . . highly sought after by collectors." The earrings' card is bent up at one end to make it fit into the cardboard jewelry box in which it's placed. The boxtop on mine has a grease spot (about fingertip-sized) on the outside as well as what looks like a drop of paint; on the inside it has a sizable smudge of, apparently, dried glue, and a round place in the middle where the paper lining does not cover the outside material of the box. Everything about the packaging screams "amateurish" and "low quality." By the way, the "Story of the Glass," promised both online and on the included card, is not the Willow Pattern story given in the catalogue, but merely a statement that the "pretty blue and white glass" is from a 1960's Blue Willow dinner plate.

I have been extremely satisfied with other products ordered from Uncommon Goods. I feel that these earrings and their packaging are substandard for the company and that they shake my confidence in ordering again from the catalogue or website. Needless to say, I will be returning the earrings immediately.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my Mother. The quality of the earrings is very good. I am confident she will enjoy wearing them. It is always nice to wear an accessory that has a story to go along with it.

I was really excited about these earrings and ordered them as a Christmas gift for my mom, who is an avid collector of blue willow pottery. Realizing they are handmade, I would expect some variation; however, the earrings are two different sizes (i.e., one is the size I expected from the earring depicted in the website, but the other is way smaller). Furthermore, the pottery is scratched and the wire is tarnished. These earrings look horrible, like something you'd by at a [*] craft fair, and I would be embarrassed to give them as a gift (especially considering how much they cost). Save your money and don't buy these! I would have given them zero stars, but that is not an option. I am sending them back.
