Wonderful Birthday Party Favors!

Imagine this scene: a too-busy hibachi restaurant on a Friday night and 10 hungry third graders (including my granddaughter)who are tired of origami and wondering when they're going to eat.Thank goodness I had the common sense to buy the Uncommon Goods stencil kits for a birthday party activity while we waited for the Japanese chef to arrive. The stencil kits saved the day.I had pre-cut paper tablets to fit in the wonderful little tin boxes that house the stencil templates. I gave the kids the choice of Zoobox or Facebox -- yes, I bought that many -- and 3 out of 4 chose Zoobox. I, personally, love both of the kits and have them on my work desk. In between evaluating my stacks of college compositions, I draw wacky little faces to amuse myself. Lots of room for creativity with these. At the party, the stencil kits saved the day until the chef could do his thing. Several parents e-mailed the next day to say how much their kids loved the stencil kit favors.

If you need to keep 3rd graders entertained at a birthday party while waiting for the food to be served, this is a wonderful item and great party favor. Parents wrote me and thanked me for getting such a nice gift.I let the kids choose if they wanted Zoobox or Facebox. Most chose Zoobox, which produces a startling array of zany animals. Both kits are fun to doodle with and there's still room for lots of individual creativity after you stencil your design. I had little writing tablets sized to fit in the kits, which made them instantly ready for use.
