It's like opening up a toy box hidden away in grandma's attic. First, you dust off a doll. Then, a tiny teacup. A building block. A dollhouse chair. And slowly a childhood unfolds before you.

That's the magic of Kelly O'Neal's shadowboxes. Captivating and mysterious, the found objects may be from another era, but they tell a story of childhood, of blissful innocence that is as relevant today as it ever was.

Each shadowbox features vintage toys from O'Neal's personal collection. He hand picks the composition and adds the custom-ordered letter of your choice to the center. The background is made from reproductions of handmade journals. By combining long-forgotten memories with individual letters, he creates artwork that is both personal and universal, and sure to be treasured for years to come.

The toys featured will vary and range from the early 1900s through the 1960s. Each shadowbox is made of solid wood and opens in the back for you to add your own treasures. Handmade in the USA. Also available for boys.

This piece is really stunning - and so different. I bought it for my newborn for Christams as a beautful keepsake for her wall. I love the retro feel, and that each one is unique. It is also much bigger than I anticipated. At lot of effort went into the packing too, so it arrived perfectly!
