The unit is overall pretty good. There were a few sloppy predrilled holes and one of the catapults strings was short a few inches. I had to purchase more of the nylon tension string from a hardware store.
ps. Look carefully at the picture of the catapult on the e-mail you sent me; it is set up backward, if you fired the catapult you would break the crossbar.

It is a good product for the price. I had to add a piece of wood between the two horizontal runners for additional support so it would not bow as much when I wound the string tighter. The spec's say it can launch up to fifteen feet, and that it did! This project was for my son and his projectile had to exceed twenty feet and that was the reason for the additional support piece. One other thing that could be improved upon is the launch trigger, it would not hold the catapult back under pressure, over all a good product!

I bought this as a gift for my nephew whom does not need any more of those useless toys. He will not be able to put this together without help, but over all I think it will be a good learning experience.

I bought this for a 10 yr old young man for Christmas and helped him build it. It has seen as much or more use as any of his other toys. We are already making plans to build a larger one so we can throw bigger stuff! For what it is it was a welcome relief from all the electronics and video games that have become the norm for presents these days.

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He enjoyed putting it together and shot marshmallows with our boys for a while. He plans to bring it to the office to have a bit of fun there.

I bought this catapult for my boyfriend, when I heard he wants to build a regular size catapult or trebuchet. He absolutely loves it. This gift allowed him to practice even indoor before he realizes his big plan and avoid unnecessary mistakes. The model looks very neat and it is a lot of fun to play it.

Bought this for my brother in law who is very hard to shop for. The second he got it out of the box we were measuring and checking trajectory, it turned into science class! I pride myself on getting gifts for people that they want to play with immediately and that no one else would ever get them, uncommongoods makes it easier to keep this up!
