The glasses I received (& returned) were not what is pictured. I loved the bubble-like look of the "stem," but the glasses I received had a straight "stem" which lost the whimsical appeal that attracted me to them to begin with and a more shallow bowl that made them far too top heavy for practical use.

I ordered this as a upcoming christmas gift. My first reaction when I opened the box was "are these plastic?". The glasses are very light, the glass feels like plastic, and the size is much smaller than expected. Returning them... if you are looking for creative/unique champagne glasses that are also classy and good quality-- I don't think there are them.

Like so many things of dubious design, these glasses are very pretty but not functional. No one seems to have really tested them. When it was first filled with wine, it looked impressive. But when you go to wash them, the water does not drain completely from the bottom of the stem. This leads to water spots and mildew. You have to get a pipe cleaner and paper or other towelling and stuff it down the stem to dry and completely dry the glasses. Not very practical.

These glasses make any celebration extremely festive. They are an absolute conversation piece and everyone loves drinking from them. Even non-champagne drinkers want to use them. While they are just as hard to clean as the wine glasses. They usually just have champagne in them, so it's not as difficult as getting out some other beverages. I think the bubbles help.

Very interesting look when in use, but geting all of the liquid out of the bottom is very difficult.Leaves a ring in the bottom from the dried water.
