I bought this necklace for my brother who is in an addictions treatment center. I love the sentiment of the necklace. However, the actual charm on the necklace is rather small, and the chain that came with the necklace was a different type of metal (more shiny) than the charm. The chain is also a bit too short for a guy. I found a dog tag chain that matched and was longer. My brother really appreciated this gift. Overall, though I think that it is a bit overpriced for what you get, especially with the chain not really matching. Nice sentimental piece though if you are willing to pay the money.

I purchased this necklace for my 17 yr old daughter from her "wish list". She will like it, but I feel it was WAY overpriced. It is about 2.5 times more expensive than it should be. I would not buy it again. If she had to pay for it, she would not have bought it and she is quite the shopper. Just wish it was priced more appropriately.

I bought this for my wife - and she loves it. It's a great reminder, a way to not forget about what really matters to you.

This was the first product from Uncommon Goods that I have ever returned. I bought it as a present for myself, a little celebration for changing careers. Unfortunately, it just isn't what I expected.

The piece is very small and not as impressive as one would hope for the price. The pendant is pretty, but small. Alone, this wouldn't be a problems, but the chain is bright, shiny silver while the pendant is slightly aged/tarnished. The shiny chain looks cheap and fake in comparison to the pendant, which isn't what I expected for the price. I could have bought a different chain, but if I was paying for the pendant and the chain, I didn't want to have to buy something else to make it work.

I wanted to give this necklace to a friend who was going through a hard time in life. [$] It looked cheap and the chain finish did not match. I was too embarrased to give it to my friend :(

My mom, sister, daughter and I took care of my dying dad and when he passed away we were looking for something special to remind us of not only the experience but the bond we all shared having gone through this together. My mom wanted someting with the "Tree of Life" on it and the poem on the back, "Remember what is important to you", was a definite plus. It was the perfect selection! Thanks!

Well I bought it as a gift for someone. I know it sounds very cheesy, but she loved it and it looks great. So for me, there weren't really any cons. It's very unique. Though it doesn't have luster, I don't view that as a con with this particular item.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is graduating with her Masters degree in education. She is a fan of the Tree of Life and I thought the sentiment on the back would help her when things got crazy at school! The only thing I don't like is that the sterling chain is much brighter than the pendant is. I wish they matched better.
