thought this was for newborns or infants and would create ambient noise in the crib but it only works if you hug (squeeze) it. For much older kids than my wee boy.

Cute pillow, however, it did not sound like a heartbeat to me, it vibrates, but I thought it would just sound like a human heartbeat. Remains to be seen if the baby will like it, bought as a baby shower present.
