They are great coasters, but just about anything can be used aas a coaster. You can set your drinks on an old magazine or a CD case. The great thing about this is that six of them come in a simple round case, so they are easy to pack up and don't take up a lot of coffee table space. The thing that isn't so great about it is that it is pretty pedestrian. I was expecting something a little more risque, I guess.
