Kimochis are a great way to start a conversation with your kids. We put a bowl of feelings on our dinner table to engage our kids and to check in on them to make sure they are feeling good! The younger ones won't put Cloud down and he has replaced ole rabbit as a good night companion! Bravo! What a special toy.

The Kimochi Cat was for my Jr. Higher. She loves all things Japanese, but is a little hard to please, so I was so happy she loved the Kimochi Cat. She wrote in an emotion that wasn't included (a blank and pen are provided)and popped it into the Cat's belly. This gift is a great way to open/continue a dialogue about emotion, and how emotion impacts our lives even as we age.

I bought two Kimochi cats - one for each twin boy. (age 4) They immediately picked out the feelings love and happiness. They fell in love with the cats. These give us great opportunities for discussion about feelings and how to handle them. I do wish that "sad" was included in the feelings pack. We created our own sad faces, though.

I ordered these in part because they were so engaging visually, and they are as cute as pictured. I use them in my office to help people identify and communicate about feelings, and adults love them as much as children. I ordered both emotion packs as well, and wish there were even more, esp. since I would like to see a better balance between positive and negative emotional words. But as a p.s., the emotion words each have a separate Kimochi tag sewn to them, which I found distracting and annoying. I had to cut the tags off each one.
