What I like about this toy is that it is educational and great for coordination. My niece is three and though she is more interested in her baby dolls this toy is fun to concentrate on and figure out. It is made of wood which I LOVE as everything else seems to be made of plastic nowadays. I was afraid of going "outside the box" by not buying her something pink and/or frilly but I am now glad I did.

The school has suggested our daughter has fine motor coordination problems, so I was looking for an activity to help her work on her fine motor coordination. She sees lacing bears as pointless, so the lacing tree allowed her to make a three dimensional picture, which she liked, while working on fine-motor skills. This is a sturdy toy with nice colors and easily manipulated parts.

This is an excellent product. I've used it with a variety of students (ages pre-k-3rd grade) and the students were extremely motivated by this in a way I haven't seen with other "lacing" toys.
