I purchased the small pillow for a friend who has migrain once in a while. I am not sure if this pillow will allow her to relax and help with the migrain...but it is very soft and cuddly. It will make a great pillow anyway. I think I would personally like the larger size to cuddle with.

Love this item! Soothes me to sleep every night. Soft and comfy, the in consistencies of the beating heart are subtle but calming. I find within a few minutes that I am breathing at the same pace as the heart. Have given the smaller version as a gift to friends who love it just as much.

This was a splurge for me, but I have difficulty getting to sleep and was willing to try it. I agree with some of the other reviews that the pillow produces more of a purring or vibration than a typical heartbeat, but I still find it calming. It doesn't put me to sleep, but definitely helps me wind down. It's also attractive and very soft.

I wanted to try this myself before purchasing one as a gift...I often have trouble sleeping and loved the idea of a soothing heartbeat sound. I do find it relaxing, but like other reviewers, was a little disappointed to find that the sound is not exactly what I expected. After having used one myself, I would probably choose something else for gift giving...nonetheless, it's cute and I'm enjoying mine.

I received this as a gift after begging for it for more than a year. I got the small size and love it! I get bad headaches and the slow rhythm and "beat" of the pillow helps me calm down and lulls me to sleep.
The beat doesn't seem so much human but more like a deep purring. It is just as relaxing in my opinion though.
My only gripe is that I wish the timer was adjustable. It automatically shuts off after 20 mins which sometimes isn't long enough for me!

I bought this product after reading my friend's review from his blog at [@]. He's a techie and not one to cuddle up with. So when he raved about how wonderful this pillow was and how he freaked out when he thought it stopped working, I had to check it out.I originally bought it for my 2 year old who has yet to sleep through the night. The heart vibrations scared her, but my husband tried it out and has since stolen it. He's an insomniac period. He takes prescription medication to sleep 3 days out of the week. Now, he doesn't travel anywhere without it. The heart beat calms him and puts him in a tranquil state even if he doesn't sleep immediately. Loving the heart beating pillow.

I wasn't sure I would like this, but I have enough issues with sleeping that I thought I'd try. I feel asleep much faster than I expected! I have a hard time getting my mind to quiet down, but by focusing on the heartbeat, I was able to worry less about not sleeping. :) I wish I couldn't feel the battery pack at all, but it's not too huge. Loved it and have recommended to others already!
