I purchased the cold bag. I am always using ice or thermal wraps on my neck and sometimes knees. I wanted something different. This was perfect and a clever design for fun and it works.

Comments aboutDOCTOR BAGS - DR. COOL & DR. HOT PACKS:
I bought the hot pack for a Christmas present for a friend of mine that is a cardiology nurse. I thought it was so witty!!! I also thought that she would get more use out of the hot pack, than the cold one, just for aches and pains she might get standing on her feet all day long. I wish I could have gotten both, but I chose the hot pack for that reason. My friend commented on how great it was for putting inbetween her sheets and warming up her bed! \n\nThe ONLY thing I was not as impressed with was that the red dye inside the bag was not as bright as it is in the picture. Possibly because it is a crystalized substance? \n\nAll in all, I thought it was very unique, and useful at the same time! I am planning on getting some of my own ;-)

Comments aboutDOCTOR BAGS - DR. COOL & DR. HOT PACKS:
I really liked this because i ordered it to have after I came home from major surgery. It worked well for about a week and then leaked everywhere! I NEVER had a similar product do this so I am assuming it is a one off and asked for a replacement since I really did like it before it leaked. If the new one holds up, I am sure I can give it 5 stars.
Service & Delivery comments:
The service/delivery from the online store was great. When the product was defective, the company offered to replace or refund the product. I hope that the replacement will be better and I won't need to get a refund.

Comments aboutDOCTOR BAGS - DR. COOL & DR. HOT PACKS:
This is very unique and cute: it;s really cool to watch it heat up; it looks like it's growing crystals. However, the first time I bought this, when boiling it to reset it, a small bit of the top was outside of the water, stuck to the side of the pan and killed the bag. So, make sure it is fully submerged when boiling it to reset.

A useful, but clever gift for all the medical personnel in your life. It would be a great benefit for icing those minor aches and pains that require ice packs and is totally reusable and non-dripping.

Comments aboutDOCTOR BAGS - DR. COOL & DR. HOT PACKS:
I ordered this as a replacement for a similar hot pack. This functions by clicking a metal disk in the bag which creates a chemical reaction with the liquid in it, forming into crystals and creating a lasting heat. To reset it, you boil it.\n\nThis item looks pretty cool as an IV bag, but its function suffers. There is not enough liquid in the bag. What this means is that it curves to fit your body when you use it, which is fairly nice, but it also means you have to be fairly clever to actually have the disc in the liquid when you click it. If it's not in there, it doesn't really create the reaction. I had to put it through some serious contortions to get it to function. Another problem is that the heat just doesn't last. I feel that this could also be fixed with more of the liquid inside of it.\n\nThis is not a bad product. It has its problems, but it does what it needs to do. I'd suggest looking at other similar items, however, to find something that is probably cheaper and functions better.
