Colored Smencils are made from recycled newspapers and are infused with natural scents that waft up gently as you use them. I bought these as a Christmas present for my niece to go along with the "Marvelous Me" journal (also on this website). I think she enjoyed that the pencils for the journal were special and when we opened up the case, everyone in the whole room got to smell them! Most of the pencils smelled pretty good, it seems like 2 or so had lost their scent. That might be remedied after she colors with when for a while! The fact that they're made from recycled newspapers also is a winner!
